Brazil
In 1880 the steamer was bought by the British Booth Steam Ship Company and renamed Basil; in 1887 she passed to the Empreza de Navegação Gram-Pará, from Pará, and was given the name Salinas. The Salinas carried heavy traffic between northern ports and also ran the Pará–Buenos Aires line, calling at Maceió, Salvador, Rio de Janeiro and Santos. When she sank, the entire crew was saved; her cargo was cattle and Brazilian goods from Rio de Janeiro.
