Brazil
Only a rock formation that is easy to cross separates Prainha do Deserto from Praia do Deserto. Many visitors think they have reached Praia do Cedro (Cedro do Sul), but they are at Prainha do Deserto; Cedro is hidden by the forest and the rocky shore to the left. When conditions are favourable, the beaches along this stretch of the trail, Cedro do Sul, Prainha and Praia Deserta, have a great deal of marine life activity. In the neighbouring Cedro bay, local residents farm mussels.
