Brazil
A traditional fishing community lives on Praia Grande do Bonete, and the kiosks and the fishermen's shed are on the left side, where a freshwater stream flows into the sea. In the past, the beach was known for wild camping by young people in the shade of the abricó trees; after it was banned, it became a place tourists pass through. During the covid-19 pandemic, the beach's own caiçara community decided to halt tourism, its main source of income, and the boats stayed moored. The beach is close to Ilha do Mar Virado, which can be seen on the horizon.
