Brazil
Praia do Lord, in Praia do Forte, has no masonry buildings, and the restinga vegetation and coconut palms frame the natural pools that tend to form at low tide.
The pools look like large aquariums, with colourful fish, algae and crustaceans. The large natural pool is full of corals and a wide variety of colourful fish. In the water you can see several species of small colourful fish, crustaceans, molluscs and, with luck, sea turtles. Visitors have swum alongside small colourful fish that showed no fear of people at all.
The natural pools of Praia do Forte tend to be more evident at low tide, especially around the new and full moons, when the tidal range is greater, so it is worth checking the tide table before going. In the region, the least rainy months tend to be September to February, and April, May and June tend to be the rainiest.
