The name of Praia do Éden honors Éden Jesus da Fonseca, a former merchant, resident and diver of the Morro do Sorocotuba area. The beach lies in the Extensive Use Zone of the APA Marinha do Litoral Centro.
Underwater you can see colorful fish, sea urchins, crabs and even rays. There is also marine life to see among corals. Sea turtles appear at certain times of the year. The sea can have strong breaking waves, and on those days the recommendation is not to go in the water.
