Brazil
Praia de Japariz, on Ilha Grande, is home to a small community of fishermen and merchants in close contact with the mainland, both with Angra dos Reis and with Conceição de Jacareí. Over lunch in the beach's small village, you might spot dolphins swimming in the sea. Praia do Funil is a very close neighbor, and you can visit it in 15 minutes during the boat tour's lunch stop.
Along the coast of Ilha Grande it is easy to find colorful fish, corals and starfish. Between November and March, the sea around Ilha Grande tends to be very calm and the water can reach 25 °C.
