Praia de Bombinhas, also called Praia Central, is a little over one kilometre long, with very white sand thanks to its quartz crystals. The sea is full of fish that nibble at bathers' feet.
Divers record the green turtle at the site, the most frequent, as well as crabs, seahorses, pufferfish and parrotfish. In the Bombinhas area, freediving and scuba diving are usually possible in any month of the year.
