Brazil
Praia das Areias Negras is horseshoe-shaped. It is a small beach, about 100 m long and 3 to 8 m wide. Its sand is dark because of the high concentration of monazite, which explains the name.
From the beach you can see Ilha do Costa, 500 metres away, with Pedra do Suspiro on the left as a special attraction.
