Siriba Island lies south of Redonda Island, separated from it by a shallow channel. On the slope of Siriba there is an outcrop of volcanic rock. Charles Darwin passed through Abrolhos in 1832.
Between the two islands, coral heads appear in profusion, with schools of surgeonfish. In Abrolhos, algae and gorgonians together form what are called underwater meadows.
The park welcomes visitors all year round, and in the region the sea tends to be clearer between December and February, with the best visibility generally from December to March.
