Brazil
Ponta da Cabeçuda continues underwater for dozens of meters toward Ilha dos Búzios and forms a small reef of large boulders. It is little explored because it lies 20 km from Ponta das Canas and the sea between it and Ponta do Boi is usually rougher than around the rest of the island, which makes anchoring difficult on many days. Next to the point is Prainha da Cabeçuda, only 32 m long, also called prainha da Ponta da Cabeçuda, da Selada or just Prainha.
The spot is a route for many schools of fish and has many crevices. The Ilhabela archipelago is home to whales, dolphins, turtles, rays, octopuses, corals and a great diversity of fish.
