Brazil
The Piscinas Naturais de Ipioca lie about 300 metres from the shore. In the pool you swim among schools of agulhinhas, and the sargentinhos, small yellow-striped fish, come right up close to swimmers. The group of pools lies next to old fishing corrals, large structures that can be seen up close during the visit. Ipioca is the last neighbourhood of Maceió: there the capital ends and the municipality of Paripueira begins.
