At Parcel da Sumítica, between Ilha dos Búzios and Ilhote Sumítica, large fish can be found. On the boat ride to the archipelago, bottlenose dolphins, Bryde's whales and even humpback whales are commonly seen. Ilha dos Búzios is home to a traditional caiçara community that lives from artisanal fishing and from growing cassava and bananas.
