Among the wreckage of the Guarani you can still see the boat's large 2-cylinder engine, its shaft and its fuel tanks. Dives in the Ilhas Rasas also turn up wreckage of vessels and remains of artillery, because the island served as a target in Brazilian Navy training exercises. In the area, the best season usually runs from December to April, with some recommendations extending it from November to May, but diving goes on all year round.
