Brazil
The Veleiro da Enseada was a Swiss vessel that sank after striking Rasa de Fora, the outer island of the Ilhas Rasas. Today it is broken up, and its pieces lie scattered across the bottom.
The Ilhas Rasas also hold the small wreck of a fishing boat called Guarani, which keeps some of its structures. Diving at the Ilhas Rasas you can also find wreckage of other vessels and remains of artillery, from when the island was used as a target in Brazilian Navy training. In the area, the canyons are rock corridors in the Rasa de Fora channel, where many kinds of fish are found. The bottom at the Ilhas Rasas is rocky, with octopuses, lobsters and many passing and hiding fish. Around the islands there are also moray eels, rays, crustaceans, sponges, anemones and various corals.
At the Ilhas Rasas, the best season tends to be from December to April, or from November to May according to another recommendation, and there is diving all year round.
