The Marisco is an iron ship that sank accidentally off the coast of Pernambuco; it was not scuttled as an artificial reef. Little is known about its history: its origin, shipyard, owner, dimensions, captain and crew are unknown. Today the ship is broken up and almost entirely buried in the sand, near the Pina reefs.
