Scuba diving for tourists at Lagoa do Salobão was officially launched in June 2019, under the responsibility of diver Rogério Perdigão. The lagoon is home to about 30 fish species from the Pantanal and the Prata basin, such as dourados, pintados, cacharas, piraputangas, piranhas, piaus, piau-de-três-pintas, curimbatás, arraias, armaus, traíras, trairões and lambaris. Thousands of mato-grosso ornamental fish paint the vegetation on the bottom red. In the rainy season, from November to April, diving tends to become unfeasible, because mud from the surroundings reaches the lagoon.
