Ilha da Selinha lies a little past Ilha dos Porcos, north of Ubatuba, and can be seen from the beaches of Fazenda and Picinguaba. Curiously, it is split in half: between the rock formations, a small strip of sand runs from end to end, which earned it the nicknames Ilhas Gêmeas and Ilha Rachada. The only way into the inner beach is a tall, narrow rock corridor on the east face. On the south face, atop a high, flat plateau, sits a stone as round as a ball, about four meters across.
Underwater, next to the island, the seabed holds a huge rock shaped much like an Easter Island moai. The waters around the island have corals and several species of colorful fish.
In Ubatuba, summer tends to be the best time to dive, with warmer water.
