At Praia de Freguesia de Santana, on Ilha Grande, diving is recommended above all near the corals. At the end of July, local residents organize the Santana festival. On Ilha Grande, the best time for snorkeling tends to be from November to March, with very calm seas and water reaching up to 25 °C.
