Brazil
On night dives at Costela da Siriba it is common to see lobsters, octopuses and turtles, and sometimes nurse sharks. By day, spotted eagle rays show up.
Siriba Island is 300 m long, 100 m wide and 16 m high, and lies south of Redonda Island, separated from it by a channel less than 4 m deep. In the Abrolhos region, groups of humpback whales tend to arrive from July to November to shelter and nurse their newborn calves, in the largest concentration of the species on the Brazilian coast.
