The wreck was found in 2019 by four divers and became known as "navio do canhão" (the cannon ship), until it was renamed Cabrália 27 in 2025. The supposed cannon that gave rise to the nickname is actually a mast fallen over the winch, which from a certain angle looks like an old cannon. The ship's identity is not yet confirmed: it may be the yacht Eva, which sailed from Areia Branca (RN) to Antonina (PR) carrying salt, took on water in the engine room and sank on 1 October 1965, after anchoring before Porto Seguro. There is no cargo in the hull.
