Brazil
The bottom at Cabaraú is a crown-shaped shoal with many rocks, surrounded by sand. On the sand around the shoal, rays and turtles can be seen. The rocky shore of Laje do Cabarahu is a traditional fishing spot that can be reached by car. In the southern part of Ilhabela, the Cabaraú Pier was handed over in June 2016 and named after Antonio Baltazar de Lorena, a caiçara who devoted an entire life to fishing. At the site of the pier, in the area known as Barrinha, Seu Baltazar kept a shed with canoes and fishing gear.
