Buracão is a spot for testing equipment and training dives close to the coast. In Ilhabela, at the start of summer, thermoclines can occur, with layers of very cold water in a certain band of the water column. The marine life of the region includes whales, dolphins, turtles, rays, octopuses, corals and a great diversity of fish.
