Maldives
The resort is surrounded by a large house reef. The island has several distinct ecological areas: lagoon, beach coast and jungle.
Parrotfish, angelfish and halfbeaks are common. Sea turtles, reef sharks and stingrays appear now and then, and with luck you may see a manta ray.
In the region, the corals were heavily bleached in 2019, without the colour they once had.
