Maldives
It is a small giri, with overhangs on the northwest side and small caverns on the south side, ringed by a drop-off. There are large coral formations full of life, with many schooling fish, plus groupers, nudibranchs, shrimp, glassfish and anemones. In open water, tuna and barracuda hunt. In Meemu Atoll, the best diving conditions tend to occur in the dry season, from December to April, when the wind is light and there is little rain. The monsoon, from May to November, tends to bring more wind, which can make the sea choppier; around June the sea is sometimes too rough for boats, so it is worth confirming with the operator.
