Egypt
In front of the jetty and towards the north, the Tropitel Dahab Oasis house reef is compact and richly overgrown, sloping down at a 45-degree angle. South of the jetty, a 10 m wide sand lagoon runs parallel to the reef, and behind it a coral-covered plateau slopes gently out into the open sea. The reef works both as a dive on its own and as the end of a drift dive from the neighbouring site The Canyon, and, thanks to the jetty, it can be dived at any tide. Children from 8 years old can do try dives on the house reef.
Turtles and larger barracudas are often seen. The reef also has lionfish, pufferfish and many species of perch. For macro lovers, there are snails and shrimps to look for.
In Dahab, the best time to travel is usually April to October, although the destination works all year round. In the region, the water usually ranges from 20 °C in winter to 28 °C in summer.
