Three Sisters Springs is a cluster of three interlinked freshwater vents feeding Kings Bay inside Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge, Florida. There's no shore entry — paddle or swim in from Hunter Springs or Kings Bay Park, since concrete posts keep motorboats out of the pool itself. Water sits at a constant 72-74°F (22-23°C), visibility runs 9-11m in the main basin, and depth stays shallow — 1.5-2.5m over sand with rocky, vegetated edges, dropping to 3.7-4.3m right at the vents where sand visibly boils. Current is weak, easy to kick against, making this a beginner-friendly snorkel site; scuba and full in-water access run only April 1-November 14, closed the rest of the year to protect wintering manatees.
