Maldives
On the corner of the reef there is a sandy area surrounded by coral blocks that works as a manta cleaning station. It is easy to encounter grey reef sharks, eagle rays, sting rays, schools of snappers and, in the right season, manta rays. In Dhivehi, "faru" is the above-water reef edge enclosing a lagoon, a term that appears in the name of the site.
