It was on the beach of the Swiss Inn Resort, in Dahab, where this house reef lies, that a dive center opened its doors in 1998.
Despite the name, it is not a typical reef: in the hotel's bay what you find are isolated coral blocks, scattered every few metres. The site has a coral nursery and a partly artificial reef, made of objects on which corals are left to settle, and one of the pieces is a satellite dish. There is a report of a small training course on the bottom, with arches and tunnels for practising swimming through obstacles. The spot is used for courses, check dives and night dives.
Divers look for seahorses at the site, but there was a report that seeing them had become a matter of luck.
