Maldives
In the Raa region, manta rays are usually seen from November or December until early May, mostly from December to April, during the northeast monsoon. Animals recorded at the site include marbled rays, other rays and tunas. Thousands of blue-striped snapper and goatfish have been recorded circling on a plateau of the reef and, in front of it, around 40 sweetlips.
