Maldives
Rasge Fanno was a landing beach before Fuvahmulah's harbour was built. The channel called Rasgefanno neru is a rubble area through which boats entered and left before the harbour was built.
The site is home to a permanent school of batfish, and resident clouds of Platax teira, sometimes more than 50 individuals, hover there. The hard corals are healthy, the coral fauna is very rich, and there are grottoes and rocks where lobsters hide. There are also giant trevallies, barracudas, groupers, snappers and schools of batfish.
In 2024, the Rasgefanno neru channel was mentioned as a possible alternative location for the tiger shark dive, currently done at the harbour mouth (Tiger Harbour).
