There is a coral garden there with soft corals, leather corals and fan corals, as well as many sponges. Large overhangs in the east and south shelter sweetlips and many rock cod, and shoals of fusiliers can be found throughout the year. In the region, the monsoon usually runs from May to November, a period when the wind tends to increase and the sea to get choppier; anyone planning to dive around June should check with the dive company, because the sea can sometimes be too rough for boats.
