Egypt
From the surface, the site is easy to spot by the Cleopatra's needle statue at the Waterfalls Hotel. Ideally it is done as a drift dive, starting in front of the Hilton Waterfalls hotel, with the reef on your left, and ending at a floating pontoon in front of the Royal Paradise Resort.
Along the edge of the drop-off, pinnacles are covered in red, pink and yellow Dendronephthya soft corals, alongside table corals and sea fans, and many glassfish live in the caves. There are also hard corals such as Porites and Acropora, and the site is popular with stingrays, turtles and moray eels. Near the pontoon, a large pinnacle where frogfish have been spotted hosts a large sea fan surrounded by glassfish and a resident yellow-mouthed moray, while scorpionfish and nudibranchs appear on the wall.
On summer afternoons, mantas often pass by in the blue along the site.
