Novotel House Reef lies in a bay with lots of beautiful corals, home to colourful fish and soft corals. The reef reaches all the way to the beach, and it holds a small natural pool, reached by a ladder in the middle of the pier. It is not uncommon to see a turtle feeding on soft coral or a crocodile fish taking a rest.
Near the hotel beach lies a small sunken boat, teeming with marine life. Fish swim around it, and corals grow along the hull.
In the Marsa Alam region, the best time to visit tends to be from October to May, when temperatures are warm but comfortable, while summer is very hot.
