Maldives
Star-shaped canyons cut through the reef in every direction, forming a labyrinth of overhangs and passages. The main block is only about 100 m across, and even experienced boat crews and guides do not always find it right away. It is a good place to find hunting trevallies and barracuda, and moray eels, lionfish and lobsters shelter in the complex topography. At least between August and October, millions of glassfish usually stand over the rock to the point of hiding the reef.
