At the site there are remains of the anti-submarine nets that closed off the channel during World War II. It was known as Addu's "manta point" until Mudakan took over that title. The marine life includes table corals and other hard corals, gorgonians and lobsters. In Addu, the time of year when manta rays are most commonly seen is from December to April.
