Maldives
The slope has coral blocks that shelter moray eels, leaf fish and scorpionfish, and anemones hosting clownfish, porcelain crabs and shrimps. Eagle rays are frequently spotted, and the site ends in large hard corals and table corals. The island of Meedhoo, next to the site, is the northernmost inhabited island in the Dhaalu Atoll. In 2014 a land reclamation project began in Meedhoo, with the dredging contract awarded to Boskalis, to add 17.5 ha to the island.
