Maldives
The reef forms a big drop-off. There are turtles and large shoals of long-nosed surgeonfish, and on the steep wall of the outer reef there are white-tip sharks, barracudas and hunting tuna. In Meemu you can dive all year round, but the best conditions usually come in the dry season, from December to April, with little wind and little rain. Around June the sea in the atoll is sometimes too rough for boats, so it is worth checking with the operator.
