Maldives
It is a coral garden where lobsters and several species of decorator crabs can be seen. The site is used as a night dive on a dive sailboat itinerary, at the end of the day of dives in Thaa. In Maldivian dive site names, the Dhivehi term "giri" refers to an underwater pillar that comes close to the surface. From January to March, dive cruises through the south-central Maldives often include Thaa Atoll.
