On one liveaboard dive, a patrol of 8 eagle rays was seen in the blue; a tiny white scorpion leaf fish also appeared. Inside the channel, the corals were not very healthy, but there was a lot of life: oriental sweetlips, blue surgeonfish, fusiliers and turtles. The best season is usually from January to May. In Huvadhoo, the northeast monsoon (January to May) is usually the recommended time, when liveaboards mainly dive the channels on the east side, with pelagics and sharks.
