Maldives
Packed with colourful fish, the site is good for finding the smaller creatures of the reef. Mantis shrimp, octopus, scorpionfish and painted rock lobsters hide between the rocks, while butterflyfish, colourful snappers and unicornfish swim over the reef. There are also clouds of glassfish hunted by trevallies. The alternative name Maafilaa Thila comes from the Dhivehi term "thila", used in the Maldives in dive site names for an underwater pillar.
