Maldives
There are schools of jacks and fusiliers. Stingrays, often electric rays, and moray eels can hide in the overhangs. The rare leaf fish lives on the top. The reef also has pink coral, described as rare and seen only in Baa Atoll. In the region, Maadhoo island, next to the reef, is among the Baa Atoll islands cited as turtle nesting sites, mainly for green turtles.
