Maldives
Kandu, in the name of the site, is the Dhivehi word for "channel". The site was already listed in a diving leaflet published in March 2016. In the Dhaalu and Faafu region, the best visibility and manta encounters tend to occur between December and April. In Dhaalu, the southwest monsoon, from May to October, brings nutrient-rich currents and tends to increase the chance of seeing mantas and pelagic fish.
