Maldives
The marine life reported for the channel includes eagle rays, batfish, butterflyfish and, sometimes, a big school of dolphins. In Dhivehi, "kandu" means channel. In the resort area, the reef has the surf wave "Lohis", a left-hander that wraps around the southeast corner of the resort. On the east side of the atolls, the clearest water usually occurs from December to April.
