Maldives
Because it is close to a channel, the thila receives a current that brings nutrients and supports the abundance of fish. There is a great abundance of schooling fish: the thila is covered in glassfish, with clouds of fusiliers and groups of surgeonfish. In the name, "thila" is the Dhivehi term for an underwater pillar, a formation that does not reach the surface.
