Kuda Huraa's reef tells a story of survival: in 1998 and again in 2016, vast swathes of the ecosystem were wiped out by El Niño events. There was a plan to move coral frames to the reef slope, where the water is slightly cooler, to increase their resilience to future coral bleaching. On a sandy bottom live three "resident" green turtles.
