Maldives
Koddiparu is a macro photography site. You can find the cushion starfish, shrimps (sea star, amboin and thin-armed), lionfish in anemones and the spear mantis shrimp, along with scorpionfish, frogfish and a school of bluestripe snappers. Different kinds of shrimp, nudibranchs and flatworms also stand out.
At the resort's house reef, rays and schools of tropical fish are regular visitors. Farther out there are nudibranchs, feather stars and parrotfish, and in the lagoon titan triggerfish nest.
The resident marine biologist and the resort team maintain a growing coral nursery, with new fragments grown to strengthen the reef's resilience in the face of rising sea temperatures.
