Maldives
It is a drift dive along a pristine coral garden, with over 28 hard coral species. The name refers to Kalho Akiri Gando ('Black Stone Beach'), a black-pebble beach in Funaadu/Dhoondigan, behind the airport. Fuvahmulah is the only island of its atoll: an oceanic platform reef without a lagoon, surrounded by a fringing reef. In Fuvahmulah, oceanic manta rays are usually seen seasonally, with a peak between March and May. Aggregations of scalloped hammerhead sharks also appear to be seasonal, with most sightings between February and May and between October and December.
