Maldives
There is a lot of small life to see and an incredible number of anemones with their clownfish. Divers have photographed two leaf fish, a nudibranch and a moray eel, and a curious batfish accompanied the group for almost half the dive. In Dhivehi, 'thila' means underwater pillar, a term used for reef pinnacles. Huvadhu Atoll has one of the deepest lagoons in the Maldives. In the southernmost atolls (Huvadhu, Fuvahmulah and Addu), December to March is usually pointed to as the best time to dive.
