Egypt
Also known as Farcha, the site is a large horseshoe-shaped plateau covered with groups of smaller coral blocks. These coral blocks, the ergs, come in different sizes and are beautifully overgrown with life. Various species of nudibranchs live on the blocks, along with moray eels, blue spotted stingrays and crocodile fish. The plateau is part of the Abu Fendera reef system, which stretches for more than 3 km like a coral necklace.
