Maldives
The southern tip of Gan is the southernmost point of the entire Maldives. In Addu, the 2016 El Niño (coral bleaching) caused heavy damage on the outer reefs. In the atoll, January to April usually brings the best weather and good visibility, but with more divers; July to September also tends to have good weather and visibility, with fewer people. Around the full or new moon, the stronger currents tend to bring more big fish to the atoll's channels.
